Nursery Beginnings

So I'm starting to pull together the theme and the main pieces for the nursery. Slowly its all coming together. I haven't actually set anything up yet since the room needs a fresh coat of paint, and we are still missing a few of the main elements (like a changing table or dresser). However, it has been really fun picking out all the different stuff and I thought I would share our progress.

This is the bedding set we choose. Its a little brighter than this is real life, but I love it. My favorite part was the mix of circles and stripes, which were visually interesting but still look like they are for a baby.
Up-close of the nursery bedding. I liked the nature theme, and I liked that it wasn't just the traditional baby blue.
These are wall cards (one for every letter) we purchased to hang around the room. Since we can't paint the room a fun color (since we only rent our house) I thought these were a good way to add color and interest. They are 5" x 7" and I intend to hang them as a border around most of the room. Plus they are nature-themed to go with the bedding. They are currently my favorite thing we have gotten - however, I'm still trying to figure out how to hang them.
This is the crib we purchased, only not the right color. This was actually the very first thing we purchased for the baby's room, right when we first found out I was pregnant. It is from Restoration Hardware's Rowan collection, and we got such a great deal on it we couldn't pass it up.
This is the color we choose.
This is the toy storage bin we have gotten. It is super cute but not that big, so we will probably have to pick up a couple more. The top is also padded, so Henry can use it as a little seat.
This is a vinyl wall hanging for one of the walls. The colors match the bedding perfectly, even though they are from different collections from different stores. Its not quite as tall as I would like, but the price was right.

We also have a classic rocking chair that Morgan's mom gave us. Since it doesn't match the crib's wood color, I think I'm going to paint it the green color of the bedding. That way we get a little more color in the room. But I think that's it for now. We are still missing storage, changing table/dresser, and accessories, but thankfully we still have plenty of time!
